Contest Brief

I'm in the process of establishing a unique, "Cool Nerd" brand that appeals to young individuals, and I'm seeking a skilled graphic designer to bring the brand's logo to life. My vision for the logo is clear: a distinctive, minimalistic design that will look great on various items of merchandise such as mugs, sweaters, and T-shirts.

Here's a rundown of what I'm looking for:

• Style: Minimalistic. I'm after a logo design that's cool, clean, and simple but communicates the essence of the brand effectively and that will appeal to younger generations.

• Cool Nerd Culture: The design should infuse varied elements of nerd culture - reading, science, science fiction and some educational elements. In addition to that, the logo should include varied elements of cool culture- video gaming, sports, and a cool font. It should have a universal appeal to enthusiasts of these domains.

• Color Scheme: Black and grey should be the predominant colors, and maybe some bright colors providing a sleek and modern aesthetic to the logo.

There are 5 attached files below. There are four files that I don't want the logo to like anything similar to. They are named "Design to not copy 1,2,3,4". Attached is also a file with the logo that I want I designed, and I expect your proposal to look way better than that! It is named, "My initial design". Be creative!

The ideal freelancer for this project would be experienced in logo and brand design, with a portfolio demonstrating their capacity to create minimalistic designs. They should have a strong understanding of how to work with different elements of nerd culture for a unified representation in a design. Some knowledge of merchandising would also be beneficial.
