Contest Brief

Wanting to have a mock-up created that can be used later as a reference for develops to create a functional new homepage for my website.

(These do not need to have any function they will just be used later when developing the site. If you want to add any animation please keep it minimal or limited to a mp4 demonstrating how something functions.

I have photos for you to use as a reference I’ll include and also you my use the site shown in the photo with a #1 in the right hand corner ( e r o s .com) that is the main inspiration.

I like the dark background and simplicity however my site will not be exactly the same for several reasons, but I think it also looks somewhat dated and navigating the different categories is kind of confusing as it’s only in the menu that they can be changed and it automatically defaults to 1 category which has the most traffic since people don’t kno about the category options in the menu.

So the only important things to keep in mind are modern, minimalist, easy to navigate preferably with a dark background although any other colors used are yours to use whatever you think looks best.

The photos included are all marked with numbers in the top right corner 1-9
I’m going to explain each of them below.

#1 #2 #3 are photos of the e r o s homepage. The top is where users can select location below that you can see 2 columns with 12 ad spaces. These are spaces that are purchased separately since all users land on the homepage to select location it helps increase exposure and can be monitored. I want to keep these for the mock-up.

#4 is a expanded image of the locations for users to choose. I think this is dated and want a more modern way for users to search specific locations.

#5 this is the categories that users can choose from (but most are not aware of it so the default category gets the most traffic)

#6 this is an image of a possible solution to replace the way e r o s has on their site. It would need to have the fields in the photo, but add categories. / subcategories & should include zip code also with radius as an option.

#7 is a different site but I want to have a similar image slider available on the homepage. This will be for announcements and also a larger more attention grabbing space users can purchase and the space can be monitized. The navigation bar is at the top with logo in the left and menu in the right and directly below it is the big rotating banner space so it will be seen first.
(below directly below that should be the way users can select country/ city/ state and category stuff however you feel would be easiest and look best)

#8 is below the red city vibe logo on the left is horizontal images that auto scroll and show all users site wide marked as available. This should be on the homepage also below paid user spots at the bottom before the footer

#9 is just a closer image of number 8

As far as font is concerned and accent colors we want something easy to read and that is easy on the eyes and easy to navigate. Preferably with a darker background.

Above is how we were thinking looked the best and also gave us several ways to make money with the monetized spaces available.

We like the way this looks, but are not unwilling to consider other options so if you want to be creative and do things differently than we described please feel free to be creative just keep in mind the important things mentions about color, and sleek easy to navigate simplicity we are not very technical ourselves so we are not aware of all the possibilities that could exist so just try your best and we will appreciate it.

The rest of the images not numbered are one of the current layout of my site it is flynax template and of our logo(s) or other things we have or plan to use for the site so you can get an idea of colors and a feel for the site itself if you needed. Feel free to use them for the project if you want, if not is okay also.
