I have previously kept my site on an old wordpress version 5.3 because the theme I use became outdated and would break on the newer wordpress versions. Recently my plugin Easy Digital Downloads broke because I guess it now needs at least wordpress version 5.8. I need to process the update to wordpress latest version so the plugin will work but then my theme will break.
