We need to find and fix the source of Disk I/O read getting so high that the server is crippled. There is a Woocommerce live shop running as the only thing on our droplet, hosted by Digital Ocean. We have looked for the obvious - cron jobs running wild, backup schedules and so on with no luck. This is an urgent task. Attached are the Disk I/O graph. First one shows a full spike, taking almost 4 hours. By powering off and on the droplet we can stop the cycle, but it will come again in a mater of hours. We are a sports-based Wordpress site that pulls JSON Feeds from an API. These feeds are converted into WordPress posts. We are calling about 75,000 to150,000 end-points a day. The problem we are facing is that when the API is called, which happens once a day, the site crashes.
