Contest Brief

What I need is to simulate a clamped Silicon beam (nanowire) and with 2-um lengths, 0.05-um width, and 0.06-um thickness with COMSOL or Solidworks to find its fundamental resonant frequency and quality factor. I want to do it by applying AC nearby the cantilever to see how it affects the frequency and the displacement of the cantilever

I work with COMSOL, but unfortunately I don't have the module for mechanical calculations. But with open source solution you can get even more possibilities for calculation of eigenfrequencies for stress-free and prestressed structures.
