Looking for a Javascript game similar to the one seen here :
This is not our web site, just an example of what we are looking for.
Note that the script would not generate the actual puzzle grid. These have already been generated.
An existing CGI script will load puzzle data based on URL and generate a .html page. That .html page will contain the javascript game.
The Javascript is given puzzle grid data by setting either one long string/array for the entire grid, or one string/array per row. Other ASCII based methods can be worked out if needed.
The Javascript is also given a list of words.
The maximum grid size is 32x32. No more than 32 words, each word no more than 16 characters long. Grid size must be set easily and be adjustable, to use (for example) 32x32, 24x24, 16x16, 24x16 and so on.
The grid and word data must be added in plain text, so the cgi script can generate the javascript with correct puzzle data for each page/puzzle.
The user holds down their mouse and moves over the grid. If they move over (while holding down mouse) letters in the grid which from one of the words, that word is marked as found (by changing a graphic in front of it, and/or by changing the text color of the word).
When the user moves the mouse over the grid (without holding mouse down), the cell under the mouse changes color (different color than when held down).
A timer runs as the game is played. There should be a pause option. When the game is paused, the grid should not be viewable. The entire grid (and letters) could become the same color (for example).
The game shows how many words are remaining (not yet found).
When all words are found, the timer stops and a congratulatory text is displayed.
Facebook integration :
if possible, we would like people to be able to post their game time to facebook (along with the URL of the game) to their facebook account/friends.
We will gladly accept bids for the scripting only. However, we also require html/css layout and graphics/web site logo. When quoting, please make it clear if facebook integration is included and if your quote includes html/css layout and/or graphics.
Thank you.
