I have a directory of .swf files with mouseover sound. You can see and hear some of these .swf files at [login to view URL] - just mouse over to hear. I want to make a talking dictionary using these files, and adding thousands more. To do this I need a developer to create a search box on my site into which people type a word that they want to hear pronounced, and this opens a .swf file with the sound. If there's no file for that particular word, a page comes up saying 'sorry, we don't have that word, try another'. For the location of the search box, I'll probably want to put it on a new website rather than existing site at [login to view URL] . The new site will look a little like Google - it'll just say something like: "Enter the word you want to hear pronounced". So when somebody enters, for example, "hypothesis" into the search box and presses enter, it will open a file with a name like [login to view URL] . I'm sure this is very simple to do, but I don't know how it's done! The next stage will be to create thousands of .swf files using mp3 sound files which I will provide. For this stage I will want a quote per .swf file, but that comes later. Tim Bowyer Some further clarification (March 14th): 1 The index page is probably going to be a Flash file embedded in html. 2 Search function should offer both 'click to search' and 'press enter to search'. 3 There should be a browse option in alphabetical order 4 The search will need to be fast enough to handle 10,000 entries or more. 5 Search should not be case-sensitive 6 Instead of 'sorry, that word is not yet included in the dictionary', it would be better if you can provide the nearest word available, in the format "Did you mean *arrive*?". I hope this nails it down more. ## Deliverables Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, in the form of code to be pasted into buyer's website by buyer. The format/design/appearance of the website is not required. All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Windows or Mac, IE 5+ and Flash
