Facility Placement Director

Healthy Hands Cooking, a national educational company, is looking for a "Facility Placement Director" (FPD) to help match our Certified Cooking Instructors with. After an instructor places their order for this service, the FPD would research, call, and contract with a facility in the instructor's local area on behalf of the instructor. Our Certified Cooking Instructors teach nutrition and healthy cooking classes to children ages 5-13. They do not need a full kitchen because all of our recipes are taught using simple plug-in appliances like blenders, toasters, and pancake griddles. All that is needed to teach our classes is a clean room with access to a sink, soap, electrical outlet, and garbage can. Once an instructor is trained and certified, their next step is to find a facility where they can hold their classes. Facilities can include gyms, schools, corporate offices, gymnastics studios, restaurants, rec centers, sporting clubs, neighborhood clubs, parks, pediatric offices, wellness centers, Boys and Girls Clubs, hospitals, golf and tennis clubs, etc. The maximum size class is 10 students, and instructors must always maintain a student instructor ratio of 10:1. Although an instructor may have a small budget to pay a facility for use, most of our instructors are looking for free facilities to teach their classes. In exchange, they will provide the facility with free family nutrition workshops to the facility's membership base. For example, a local YMCA would be a perfect facility to hold Healthy Hands Cooking classes. The instructor would provide free family nutrition workshops every month to YMCA members in exchange for using one of their rooms to hold their fee-based classes. Fee-based classes are usually 2 hours in length and held once or twice a week depending on how many classes an instructor wishes to hold. Additionally, restaurants would make a great facility by hosting "moms night out". Mom could join her friends for a relaxing dinner in the restaurant, while their children attend a Healthy Hands Cooking class in the back patio, private room, or meeting area. "Moms Night Out" could bring extra business to the restaurant on slower nights, while children are in a safe, fun, and educational environment. This is a win/win partnership for both the facility and Healthy Hands Cooking. Corporate offices make a great fit too (such as health insurance companies). Employees could bring their kids to work during summer months to attend our Healthy Cooking Summer Day camp while their parents are working. As well, Healthy Hands Cooking has a centralized registration process so all fee-based classes must be scheduled through our online ordering process. This means that a facility (such as a community center) must allow us to use our own registration process in order for us to hold Healthy Hands Cooking classes at their facility. Here is the process: 1) Instructor places online order 2) Facility Placement Director is sent the order by email including detail about the exact marketing zip codes and neighborhoods that the instructor is targeting 3) FPD does an online search to find nearby facilities that might be a good fit 4) FPD contacts prospective facilities by phone and/or email to introduce concept 5) FPD communicates by phone or email with the instructor of intended placement 5) FPD contracts with the facility on behalf of instructor (pre-written contract which can be modified to meet needs) 6) FPD gets paid for securing the contract Please thoroughly review our website at [login to view URL] before responding to this request.
