Our company is looking for writers with good English and Italian skills to translate how-to articles to Italian. Articles range in length, but average around 6-800 words.
You need to have excellent Italian grammar and English comprehension. Computer translated articles will not be accepted. We are not seeking word-for-word, literal translations. Instead, we want you write in natural sounding Italian using the English content as source material.
Contractors who do a good job and deliver articles reliably will be offered regular work. The first stage of the job is a 3 article test for $30 which is what you are bidding on here. Good performance on the test will lead to you being offered additional work. We have a large number of articles to translate, and can offer continuous work to those who reliably produce quality articles.
As part of your application, we would like you to rewrite the following paragraphs in natural-sounding Italian. Those writers who do a good job with this will be offered a chance to complete the paid test of $30 here on Freelancer. Please send this sample in the Freelancer message with your full name.
How to Accomplish a Goal
Everyone has dreams. Whether they are big or small, they have vast importance in our lives. However, the procrastinator in all of us doesn't have to win. The Little Engine That Could was on to something with the whole "I think I can" mentality. With just a little bit of planning, accomplishing a goal is a simple task.
Steps
Start working toward your goals today. Ask yourself, "What can I do today to get one step ahead, however small, closer to achieving my goals?" Stay focused and believe in yourself even if others do not believe in you.
Set a realistic but challenging/inspiring goal. Take a big dream, like "I want to be famous," and break it down into smaller, more manageable steps, like "I want to star in a science fiction movie," "I want to go to three auditions a week," "I want to move to another city" and "I want to save $5,000 so I can move." Make the goal big enough to challenge and excite you, but not so big that you hesitate to take the first step.
