Magento webshop does not place order. Fix it

Hello Freelancers I have a complete webshop which is ready to open, but i have a problem. When i want to place an order, only the payment goes trough and is ready to get confirmed. - But the order is not placed in magento backend? When you make the payment you are sent back to shopping cart or get 404 error. It need to show orderconfirmation and send orderconfirmation to email also. So how can we fix this? This is a huge error for me, since i can not sell my products, when i do not recieve the orders! My payment solution is Danish Ewire.
