I am looking for a creative architect / interior designer who can aesthetically design the interior of my new home, as well as visualizing the outside look of the house. This is a project on a deadline, as, at the very least I will need some sketches by the 19th of October, when the painter is scheduled.
**Interior design**
The areas to be conceptualized are: living room, dining room, kitchen (basically an open floor plan), master suite (bedroom & bathroom), and garage (to be used as a work area for a startup focusing on product development). Some minor walls can be removed.
I will provide the floor plan of the house in SketchUp, as well as photos/videos of the house, photos of the few pieces of furniture I already have, and sample photos of designs I like. I already made the basic kitchen layout using the Ikea 3d kitchen planner, but that includes only the layout and cabinets. I am looking for a contemporary, clean and modern look, yet practical. All the proposed changes should be made on a budget, i.e. they should look nice, but not be costly. I am not looking for the latest and greatest, but for a look that is practical, and aesthetically pleasing, so that I can enjoy living in that space.
**Exterior design**
The outside look of the house needs to be conceptualized as well, in terms of paint color, trim around windows and doors, etc., as well as extending the current balcony. The design of the backyard may be included in the project as well, and I already have a couple of magazine photos that are extremely close to what I have in mind.
I will provide photos of the exterior of the house and the yard. I would like to go with a Japanese influenced back yard, but I have a dog, so that may need to be slightly modified to fit the occupants :).
**Deliverables**
An updated SketchUp plan based on the interior and exterior changes, including wall colors, light fixtures, furniture, etc. should be provided. Some design iterations may be needed to ensure that the proposed plan fits our style and budget. Links to sites selling the particular furniture, light fixtures, etc. (Ikea, Costco, etc.), and links to tile styles, countertops, fabrics, paint, etc. (Home Depot, Lowes, Bed Bath and Beyond, etc.) should be provided.
Note: We have additional areas to be designed in the house as well, so the project may be continued with the same freelancer, if we are satisfied.
