This is effectively an alarm clock (private use) that notifies in tray persistently for x hours (user input x in settings) before any alarm event and stops notifying when the alarm event occurs. Optimistically, alarm-specific times/data will be populated manually via CSV each week. Visual layout is similar to Timely's vertical display but graphically dumbed down significantly with basic functionality as the goal. Input: 1. Settings x hours for advanced alerting set colors for each of the 8 alarm types. 2. Alarm data - from CSV, hopefully, that has the alarms for the whole week already in some format like: SUN,BOB,NULL MON,BOB,NULL TUES,BOB,23:00:00 WED,BOB,16:30:00 THUR,BOB,06:15:00,08:20:00,15:00:00 FRI,BOB,NULL SUN,SAM,NULL MON,SAM,11:25:00,12:00:00 TUES,SAM,NULL WED,SAM,NULL THUR,SAM,NULL FRI,SAM,14:00:00 SUN,TIM,NULL ... ...etc for 8 types of alarms (or 8 people in this example). I'd ultimately like to just update a file on my Dropbox each week and have the app read from that directory on my phone. Is that possible? If CSV is too time intensive, can it sync to my Google calendar instead? The goal is to get this app in a functional, barebones state as quickly as possible. Display: Visual UI will be used as much if not more than the notification because I want to see a visual representation of the amount of time taken up by these 2 hour blocks of time related to the 24 hours in the day. Total of 6 screens, one for each day of the week, excluding Saturdays, starting with Sunday and ending with Friday. Can scroll through them left to right and right to left. Display would be similar to Timely insofar as the vertical screen shows a day -- it is split 23 times to create 24 hours top to bottom, midnight being at the top, 11:59 at the bottom. Individual alarms are across the screen horizontally. The hours do not have to be labeled on the side, but there should be some visual indication of what time the alarms are set for-- perhaps on the visual alarm object itself (?). The visual alarm object doesn't have to be all the way across the screen horizontally. I don't really care what it looks like, tbh. I just want a visual, vertical depiction that spans some amount of space horizontally. So the visual alarm object on the screen is just a horizontal bar at a certain time and it will be whatever color is assigned to that "person" in the Settings if we're using the example data above. Some alarms will overlap or possibly mirror others. I'd like to have a specificity of 5 or 10 minutes on the display of the visual alarm objects themselves, if possible (?). Notification: system notification 2 hours before the time of alarm, tray object notification expires/disappears when the actual time of the alarm is reached after "x" hours. I don't care about the expanded notification data -- only the icon in the default notification bar. tldr; Alarm clock that alerts "x" hours before the specified time of the alarm. Visual representation of the 2 hour blocks for each day of the week, excluding Saturdays. Scroll back and forth between days. Functionality is my main concern, not aesthetics. I'd like the project files after it's done. We can talk on Skype, as well. Thanks.
