The project involves 100 blog/articles written in a month’s timeframe where 5 blogs would be written each day making that 25 blogs/week or 100 blogs in a month. The website where all the blogs are posted at is [login to view URL] I wanted to give you a rundown of what we are expecting. Our first task that we want completed before starting the entire project would basically be providing you with five topics to blog on. As you are aware, the topics we cover will either be a state specific law or a federal based law. For the one you're doing, please go to the Dept. of Labor's website for that particular state, then just blog/article write about the information you found on the department of labor's website. All Federal based laws data would be found on [login to view URL] All state specific laws would be found by googling or searching for "State Department of labor". Just replace State with the actual state you are currently working on and you would find yourself on the state specific department of labor's website. Now as far as the writing style, we are very specific. We represent both employers and employees in our business. With that being said, our blogs needs to be very factual and unbiased. However because it is a blog, it’s expected that blogs should be written on a first person basis. I can not emphasize how important it is that these blogs must not contain any kind of comments or opinions and should strictly be facts but presented in an “I, We, They” sort of writing. With that being said, all the of the department of labor’s website will have all the facts for you to grab and create a blog. Blogs are to be 300 words minimum. A Sample Blog is below for you to review: Title: Michigan Minimum Wage Blog Body: Although it’s been awhile since the Michigan minimum wage increase was approved, I felt that since this blog is a new tool, I should take the time out just to re-cap a few changes that were made but have not gone into effect. What I am referring to is the new 2006 Michigan minimum wage rate for October, 2006. Governor Jennifer Granholm signed bill 318 into legislation and starting October 1, 2006 the wage will increase for the first time since 1997! This increase is quite significant and will be implemented in a 3 step process. In October of this year the increase will reflect $6.95 per hour. It will then rise to $7.15 in July of 2007 and finally by 2008 the State minimum wage will be $7.40. That is a major increase from the current $5.15 minimum wage. People following up with the Michigan minimum wage law and its increase probably know that it was a much debated over Bill from lawmakers within both parties for nearly a year. After months of struggle and repeated rejections this increase passed unanimously within the Senate. Over 74% of voters agreed with the decision to increase the minimum wage which helped nudge the naysayers along. Needless to say, with a mandatory change that has just occurred, Michigan also updated the Michigan Labor Law Poster to reflect the new rates of 2006. It also has the 2007 and 2008 rates included on the Michigan labor law poster as well. It will be interesting to see the differences brought on by the new increase as there is always a cause and effect with every change. Since this is the first change to the minimum wage since 1997, it will be interesting to see how citizens of Michigan will react to the new minimum wage increase. ENDING OF BLOG. Please notice how there isn’t any commenting Our company and eventual goal of the blogs: We are a compliance HR company assisting businesses and employers run and maintain compliance at their companies. Eventually as you get well versed with the blogs, we will actually want you to link applicable blogs back to our actual product that should be sold with the blogs. For example, all the talk about the minimum wage increase would actually have an effect on an employer’s Michigan labor law poster hence we linked the blog back to our Michigan labor law poster. This isn’t expected from you at first but eventually, we want to work out a system where you would blog at first and tie it into a product we sell. We pay through PayPal so I will need your paypal address. The five topics (*minimum 300 words each) would be: For the first five, please write on the topics below: Alabama ( AL ) Labor and Employment Laws Alaska ( AK ) Labor and Employment Laws Arizona ( AZ ) Labor and Employment Laws Arkansas ( AR ) Labor and Employment Laws California ( CA ) Labor and Employment Laws Please write the blog/article according to the specifications above When this is done, please send it to me and I will send you my comment/revisions, if any, and then I will pay you for the first five, send you the contracts, and then also send you the rest of the keyterms.
