I would love to be involved in a project like this. I am from Western Queensland in Australia.
Following, is a sample of my writing describing my home town.
On the muddy banks of the wide brown Warrego river, there's a town nestled in behind the mulga trees. It's houses pushing their dusty roofs up out of the sun baked clay soil. Like demented rusted mushrooms, they stand sentinel, determined to ignore the whirring and humming of air conditioners running at their maximum.
It's not a blink-and-you'll-miss-it kind of town, it's a bit bigger than that, but perhaps, not by much. We have our own claims to fame, a vortex water gun, an old cob and coach station and a tree out of town with the word ' dig' carved into it. All things that have meaning in the outside world, but in our little corner, those things weren't nearly as important as who was coming fishing, or riding, or down to the railway bridge to plunge into ridiculously shallow water.
