I want to provide remote desktop support to Win XP, Vista and Windows 7 users. Users are not IT literate and I want a simple and easy solution. Users can download and install some software which will then allow me to connect to their system, like LogmeIn.com. The user should not need to do any configuring of firewalls or router etc.. The user should be able to easily get / view any details that I might need to connect to his system. If you need, I can provide a server that you can use to run any scripts from to get say the user's external IP. I want any installation / installed software to be customised with my details. If you want to base your solution on Windows inbuilt RDC, thats fine. I am open to suggestions. Whatever solution you propose, it has to be VERY simple for users. At the end you will provide the source code and any documentations.

sorry if i got the scope wrong, but if you want a simple application that enables you to log into a machine remotely, i would say "Team viewer" is the best software (Freeware) to use, easy to install, and files and folders can be easily shared, modified etc.
