Artwork descriptions

We have set up a website to sell museum-quality digital art prints. We currently have about 230 products, each in need of a 150 word 'keyword-rich' description. The ideal candidate will have experience in writing about art for both general and academic audiences. We imagine you will have a journalistic background and be able to work quickly and intuitively. You may have worked as an art reviewer in a newspaper or magazine environment or will at least have a strong and long-standing interest in art and culture. A good general knowledge of art history and the ability to identify relevant cultural linkages and influences to the artwork at hand will be highly valuable. We hope you will be able to meld accessible, engaging description with research-based commentary. Any experience in writing SEO copy for websites will also be highly regarded.
