The board should control the led with a costant current, the costant current should be shoosen from a program resident on the arduino with a minimum of 500 ma and a maximum 3000 ma, the use of a digital Potentiometer like MCP4018 is ok, in alternatvie is possible to use the digital outputs to adjust the current like: Out 1 2A Out 2 1A Out 3 0,5A Out 4 0,3A Out 5 0,2A Out 6 0,1A For example If i need a 1,4 amp i will set Out 2 Out 3 and Out 6 to 1 and all the other to 0. A current sensor for feedback current control is acceptable but in this case the freelance must be able to provide arduino s too. If the arduino is not soldered or programmed i should be able to set the current trough jumpers or tought an optional pot or tough a permanently burnt digital pot. In case of need of a current ramp up this has to be faster that 0,1s. The Arduino has to be programmed trough an ICSP interface. The criquit will have a heatsinks and forced cooling. The cirquit will have solder pads for power in and power out, the solder pads must have a reasonable size. All the choosen components must be from main electronics resellers like farnell mouser rs digikey avilable in europe. I need to be able to flash the LED with a 4-5 Hz max frequency putting one pin to ground with or without the arduino installed. 4 Analog 4 digital and 1 serial from the arduino must be accessible for future upgrade of the system features.
