Need a test application which can run on Nvidia GTX cards (e.g. 550/ 650/ 660) with the following requirements:-
1. Conduct heavy computation to drive the GPU temperature up.
2. Monitor the temperature and stop / lower computation when the GPU reaches a 'user configurable' high limit.
3. Resume computation (if already stopped) when the GPU lower than a 'user configurable' lower limit.
4. The application would terminate if it reaches a 'user configurable' time limit (in hrs and mins)
'User controllable' configuration stored in a config file.
I have Nvidia GTX 570m and GTX 560TI cards.
I have more than one year cuda techonology experience. So I think I can finish the application for you.
Now I want to more detail.
Do you want to the application running on windows or linux?
Do you want to a GUI to operate it or just command line?
Mostly I developed cuda software on windows. If you want to a GUI and I can use MFC to finish it.
I can use lots of method to conduct heavy computation like merge sort algorithm or the computation of pai or the iterative computation of Fibonacci numbers.
I can use nvapi to get the temperature of gpu and use INI file to store the configuation imformation.
So I think 7days will be enough. I will spend 6 hours doing them every day.
