Hello Javascript/Volusion Experts:
I have a simple debugging project for just the navigation element of a new template I designed for our Volusion store.
The following Volusion template was designed to update our current website:
The navigation was designed to look exactly like this example (once the homepage content were to be included via the Volusion CMS system):
As you can see, the code is pretty much done and ready for implementation, except that the navigation does not work as expected once the template is implemented on the Volusion platform.
I had made a custom navigation in Javascript/JQuery since the default CMS navigation provided by Volusion is not very flexible, its very hard to theme and animate via CSS/JS, and I felt it was not time-effective to take days to figure out how to hack their navigation to do exactly what I was envisioning a lightweight and elegant navigation should do.
I don't think this should be very hard to figure out, except that I manage many other design projects in the company and I don't have a lot of time to spend debugging. I am open minded for alternative solutions; I am OK with throwing away the current navigation JS and either have you theme the default CMS navigation from Volusion or use a different JS navigation code that works better, as long as you can make it look just like the template (it was done with pure CSS and simple 's ).
Please send me a massage if you have any further questions. Thank you so much for all your help.
