Hello Freelancers,
I am looking to contract for the modification (updating) of an add-on to Google Apps. This product will be used by companies who have their domain setup on Google Apps.
Google Apps users send and receive emails using a browser to their Gmail interface. These emails are sent by Google to the recipient. The browsers that are used to send these emails are primarily Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, and Chrome.
We are looking for a developer to UPDATE the current codes we have. The current versions we have are only compatible with Firefox 3.6 and 4.0 Beta, Google Chrome 9.0, Safari 5, and Internet Explorer 8.0.
We wish to bring our product up to speed with the current browser versions.
Again, we are not looking for a brand new product, we are looking to get our current product updated with all the new browser versions. We will send you our source codes, all you have to do is modify.
Below is the description from our original post when seeking developers few months ago.
---------------------
This proposal is to develop a method so that users can click a “button” in the Google Mail browser
interface and each click will insert, or remove, a predefined content (text) in the body of the email.
The “add-on” should be developed for each of the browsers above and I assume will be coded in languages such as .Net, Javascript, etc. My thought is that the add-on will scan through the web pages browsed by a user and exit if the page is not a Google Mail page. On a Google Mail page, it will detect the user interface (UI) provided by Google and hook itself on the page by displaying the desired "button".
This button will function as a toggle switch. Each click will insert, or remove, a predefined content
(text) in the body of the email. This predefined content will be used to set a policy in Google Message
Encryption.
When a user wishes to send a secure email, the button should be pressed so that the text is inserted in
the body of the email.
Not sure that you would like to make the project as a long term job. in my mind, all extensions for IE, FF ..(AND different version) would be very depending on GMail's web interface(web page), so it's not one-off updates..
