I have an NT server which hosts a database/website. Part of this has a function to email out so we have set up SMTP to do this. The main domain that the emails are sent from is on a different server so we are having problems with some emails being rejected. We have already set an SPF record. The errors look like this: Diagnostic-Code: smtp;450 4.7.1 Client host rejected: cannot find your hostname, Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 554 5.1.0 Sender denied Status: 4.4.7 If you know how to fix this type of issue get in contact. Hello There, Before I go into greater detail regarding my skills and experiences, I'd like to take a moment to talk about your specific requirement: I'm familiar with errors like this. Long story short, your app is trying to send from a domain that the SMTP server is not setup to relay for. You need to set up the smtp service to permit open relay FROM LOCALHOST ONLY or allow relaying from authenticated users. The second approach may or may not require adding smtp auth to your code (I have no way of knowing). I have been developing web and software solutions for well over a decade now.
