I need help modifying the checkout process of the open-source project to ignore the payment and shipping options for order totals that are $0. This would occur if a customer checks out with one of the free downloads on my site. I want to send them through the check-out process to gather information to communicate with them in the future and to get them familiar with checking out at my company's site, but I do not want them to see the payment options if there is nothing to pay for.
I prefer someone with experience in PHP and MySQL, but will consider others who have experience with open-source projects in general. As such, I will require that any developments be posted back to the open-source project for others to use. The contribution must be submitted under my company name as the primary contributor with mention of the coder as the secondary contributor. This requirement assumes that you are not adverse to open-source projects and that your coding efforts will be released to the open-source project community for use by anyone with no proprietary rights be retained by my company Xiloe Teknowledgies or you the coder.
If you are proficient with PHP and MySQL and understand the OS Commerce package, I will be glad to propose future work, as I have tweaks that I need made for my e-commerce purposes. Thank you for viewing my proposal.
