We are looking for a coder(s) that can create a entire website that will allow users to search the site for a particular product, and the return query will give them a list of vedors who sell the product.
The site will be based on a certain area of the retail market which will be disclosed once we decide on the coder(s). The area of the market should not matter at this time whether it be who has the cheapest cereal bowls or who has the cheapest bird food.
The site system will be similar to that of other price comparison websites, and a simple google search will turn up a load of these sites such as [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL], and so on. So the site needs to be able to grow and expand its categories as time passes.
The Site must account for the buyers location using the zipcode (postcode). Ideally it would nice to have it setup so the customer could tell if the item is instock or not prior to clicking the vendors site link.
The site will require the ability for the vendors to upload product information, prices, and pictures. If possible also to keep track if the vendor has the product in stock or not.
A system setup so when a customer clicks through to a particular vendors website and completes a sale, we take a set percentage or amount (most important), though should the sale fail, item returned, and so on, a way for the vendor to deduct the amount we took from the account.
A rating system will need to be installed so customer can rate the vendor. This needs to be secure in a manner that we don't have one vendor trying to destroy the credibility of another vendor using this system. Possibly a method logging IP addresses?
There are other things as well. But the above will give you a good idea of what we are looking for on the site. With the list of example websites you should be able to see how the site will operate.
