DESCRIPTION: We need a macro that will activate the "save as" dialog and create a file name to save the document
DETAIL
- We have a mail merge document with hidden fields called FULLNAME and FILENAME and DOCTYPE
- Create a "MyFilePath" parameter which will be used for the file path, such as "D:\My Documents\Docs"
- Put the hidden fields FULLNAME and FILENAME and DOCTYPE into the document properties:
Put FULLNAME into SUBJECT property
Put DocType into TITLE property(example "letter of instruction", "program", "Initial investmetn", 'IPS")
Put merge Filename into COMMENTS property (Example: "1010 Appointment Confirmation New Prospect")
- Concatenate a "new filename"
-The formatted filename should be like this: Fullname+Filename+date(yymmdd)
- Example: "Smith,William 1010 Appointment Confirmation New Prospect [login to view URL]"
- Create a MYSAVE function on the document FILE menu
- MYSAVE will pull up the SAVEAS dialog - the dialog will have the "new filename" in the "filename" box
- The document will be saved to the "MyFilePath" path
- Document the macro ??" make usage notes
