IQ and Attention Span research

The software is to be used to administer a timed test. The program should use full screen and allow the tester to divide the screen in n*n grid. The program should allow the tester to choose how many of these grids are to be filled with solid color (allow choice of background color and fill color). Then the program proceeds to randomply fill one square on the grid at a time (for a brief duration only - allow time choice input here). after this the blank screen asks the subject to click on grids that were color filled and in the same sequence. record this response and if the subject matches the program's fill pattern then increase the number of squares on the grid and continue the process till subject gets an incorrect response at which stage program terminates and provided a log file to tester (which includes a time log also to find out how much time the subject took). Screen 1 2X2 grid, (1,2) shows black for 1 millisecond, followed by (2,1) showing black for 1 millisecond then the subject is presented with the original screen subject gets double of total display time to respond he sees a 2X2 grid and clicks on the correct ones response noted and if matches to original display goes on to next grid which is a 3X3 grid program goes on infinitely till only a .5mmX.5mm cell is smallest cell assume a 1024 resolution screen Next Steps: if this works out the next project would entail replaying color fills with random words from dictionary and the subject will have to type the words (or speech to text using mic) that he sees on each cell in the grid next step will be to replace words with full sentences ** this project is part of research into attention patterns of humans.
