6852 Catalog Creator

We are looking for someone to do all the programming and design for a catalog creator website. The concept is that users will come onto the site and be able to design and create their own 8.5" X 11" catalog. Once they have created their design and are happy with it, we need to be able to take those pages and send them to our printing company where they will be printed into catalogs and shipped to the client. Users will be able to check prices whenever they wish to decide what type of catalog they want. For example they will be able to fill in how many pages they want, how many copies they want, type of paper, etc and the site will tell them the cost.(See [login to view URL] to get an idea of what we are talking about for the cost calculator). We will of course provide you with all of the pricing information to use. We will also need a control panel that we can get into to change or add prices when necessary. The site will need to have many design elements that will be at the disposal of the user. For example, there will be buttons that say ADD TEXT, CREATE HEADLINE, ADD CLIPART, USE MY OWN ART, etc. The user will design and create their pages using any and all of these elements. You must load the site with many clip art images, as well as with many new designs that you will create that will be proprietary to the site. Mostly these will be sports images. We will be more specific later. In the Headline creator users must have the ability to create exciting headlines in different colors, shapes and with drop shadows. The site must give the user the ability to be very creative, with many choices at their disposal when creating their pages. The page creator must be very easy to use. Users should be able to Drag and Drop their elements to exactly where they want it on the page. The site must be very, very user friendly with lots of fun colors and clean and exciting designs. There should be very clear buttons, icons and instructions that guide the user at all times. Users should be able to set up accounts so that they can log-in whenever they want to, save their designs, and retreive them and continue working until they are done. The is an e-commerce site where users will be able to pay for their catalogs once they have sent us the completed pages. Users will also have the ability to upload their own design to us if they do not wish to use the catalog creator. This is obviously a job that requires both extensive programming, database and design knowledge. This project can only work if the user experience is pleasant and easy at all times.
