This is for a website that will allow users to create a custom page for themselves, similar to facebook or myspace.
On signup, each user can choose from certain "modules" (i.e. photo album, about me page, contact page, blog page, etc). Each module they choose will cost a certain amount of money (many will be free).
## Deliverables
This is for a website that will allow users to create a custom page for themselves, similar to facebook or myspace.
On signup, each user can choose from certain "modules" (i.e. photo album, about me page, contact page, blog page, etc). Each module they choose will cost a certain amount of money (many will be free).
Once they login to their page for the first time, they can easily add content to each of their "modules" or "pages."
Most "modules" will be very simple - mostly just text. One module will be more complicated - using something like Gallerific for a photo album section. Also, a "home page" module will display "teasers" from each of the other modules, very blog-like.
I've done much of the graphic work in Illustrator, and should be able to handle creating any of the graphics you might need to complete the job. I'm pretty web-friendly, and have designed a few sites in the past, but this one will be far more complex than I can manage - so I'd be relying on your expertise to get the project completed.
My first thoughts were to do something drupal-based - a big reason being that creating multiple sites with shared modules and themes in drupal is relatively simple. Again, every user will end up with their own "site" or "page" that has several "subpages" in it - these "subpages" will be determined by their own individual choices and potentially monthly payments.
I'm certainly not glued to drupal, so if you'd like to suggest another solution, I'm more than willing to consider it.
