Javascript/XML/DHTML Simple XML Parsing

Looking for programmer with Javascript/DHTML/XML experience to finish this little application. Someone with experience parsing XML from within Javascript should be able to finish it quickly. Apache/Unix environment. The application retrieves an xml feed and displays the first 10 items of that feed in the html. I have implemented the code which manages the UI and retrieves the RSS/XML feed. Now, need someone to write the code to parse the retrieved results. The parser should look at the first 10 items in the RSS/XML feed. It will pick out the TITLE and LINK elements of each of those 10 items. For each of those items, it will call the method updateItem() which is included in this file. This code uses a home-brewed [login to view URL] to retrieve the xml data. You are free to replace it with one of your own choosing if preferred; as long as it works under both Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.
