Save contents of a listbox to MySQL db

I am using phpBB forums. There will be 2 listboxes in the edit profile page..listbox1 has what you will select and depending on what you select, it is transfered to listbox2. The contents of listbox2 are to be saved to the MySQL database after you submit changes to your profile. When they go back to edit their profile page, listbox2 should be filled with the info from the DB. When viewing the viewprofile page of a specific user, you should be able to see the contents that user saved to the DB from listbox2 only, "Shown as text". I already have a JavaScript code that transfers contents from one listbox to the other.
