The SokaNet Intranet Project (SNIP) is the short-term initiative that is focused on the programming/customization and implementation of 5-7 (five to seven) ASP template webpages into an off-the-shelf content manager. The content manager, from [login to view URL], is a Perl-based application that serves the ASP webpages. The Intranet website facilitates the storage, communication of data, knowledge/wisdom, and internal university information to all community members comprised of faculty, staff and students. It is essential for the intranet to be dynamic and automate routine data entry tasks. We are looking for someone to customize and implement ASP templates to correspond with the university branding efforts. The goal for the new content manager is to provide a dynamic intranet that enables the reuse of existing information, reduce the cost of information sourcing, printing and distribution, and enhance communication. Technical Requirements: - Must be independent, organized and detail-oriented - Have at least 3 years of experience developing webpages and sites - Must have thorough knowledge of ASP and HTML - 2-3 years programming in Perl, JavaScript, CSS, and DHTML - Experience programming for Windows NT environment - Solid understanding of front-end or middleware applications
