Cobol System36 connection to API

I am in need of a programmer farmilial with Cobol code running in system36.? We have a retail POS system that runs on our i-series that we need to set up to interface with a distrubutors system to check price/availability, submit purchase? orders, and receive advance ship notices.? The connection to the distrubutors system will be via an API connection using SSL. ## Deliverables Part1. The first piece of this project is the lookup and display of live price/availability data from the distrubutor on the inventory lookup screen within the POS software.? At the time a search is performed on the local POS, the API will need to be called to retreive the price and quantity available from the distributor and this will be displayed on the screen. Part2. The second piece of this project is the submission of purchase orders to the distrubutor via the API connection.? When a purchase order is created within the POS system for this vendor/distrubutor, this will need to be sumitted to the distrubutor via the API connection.? Part3. The final piece of this project is the retrieval of advance shipment notice data from the distrubutor.? When the distributor invoices an order to the store running the POS system, it will generate an ASN to be retrieved by the POS software via the API connection.? Once retreived, the ASN will be converted into a receiving list.? As a note, each of these pieces are currently set up to connect to another wholesale distrubutor system which currently resides on the same i-series.? This project is to replace the programs that read/write to files shared by the POS and wholesale systems on the same box with programs that connect to an API system.
