Extract NFL scores from web page

I need a Python program that will extract game score data from the NFL scores page at: [login to view URL] All NFL games for the current week are listed on this page. Any game would be in one of three states at any given time: yet-to-be-played, in-progress, or final. For each game that is in-progress or final, the program should call a function that passes 4 parameters: away_team, away_score, home_team, and home_score. (I have provided stub functions for the coder's program to call. They will eventually be replaced, by me, with functions that update a database.) For in-progress games, the program should call function 'score_current', and for final games the program should call 'score_final'. No action should be taken for yet-to-be-played games. Coder may wish to use the navigation at the top of the aforementioned web page to see the format of prior scores they have on the NFL site. The URL from which scores are extracted should be easily modified in the program, mainly for testing purposes. Further, the code should be well documented so that I can understand what's going on. (I am a very experienced C++ programmer, but am fairly new to Python.) In your bid, please also note any additional modules that you will require (such as BeautifulSoup, perhaps), and version number if that's important. I would prefer modules that are included in Ubuntu 6.06 LTS Server, as that is the platform on which this program will run. Again, note that the NFL site has prior scores that you may want to use for testing purposes. Also, since the current season is underway, the opportunity to test with in-progress scores is available when games are underway (see the NFL schedule for times).
