Our all volunteer food pantry needs some database software to do intake of clients and keep track of required USDA reporting. There is no commercial software out there. The only ones we have been able to find are ones that have been developed by other volunteer organizations to meet their specific needs. There would be a market for this program if you want to market it after it is written.
The basic need is to have a user friendly "intake form" which would have all the required questions to meet USDA standards. It also needs user friendly reporting features. It also have some ability for each user to do some global customization to meet their needs.
This program needs to operate with Microsoft Access and have the capability of capturing a signature electronically.
The software we are currently using is based on Access 1995, which does not produce electronic reports in a format for us to electronically report them.
