i have a combo list that filter search in custom categories. i want to convert it to checklist with multiple choice option. its should be responsive and dynamic. if i add category or subcategory - it should appear in the list automatically. the category should appear in bold and the subcategory in regular. if the user select category - all the subcategories will be checked automatically . the user can deselect or select any option he wants. there will be option to select all or none. all the choices the user made should use for the search .

I have 6 years of experience working with php and jquery/mootools plugin. I have participated in commercial projects in IBM for about 8 years, related to software development including Java SE, J2EE, DB2, MySQL, JQuery, korn shell development, etc... I have worked with Joomla platform when developping php applications. I'm planning to use object oriented capabilities in order to separate jquery calls in a php class. This means that the script will invoke from js the jquery methods inside the php class file. All configuration parameters will be stored in a xml or global variables for easy access.
