If you wish. ****_Title: _ **Developing IP Subnetting Calculator - A network Designing Tool. _**Aims:**_ To develop standalone IP subnetting calculator using VB 6.0 to demonstrate my knowledge of networking and logic developed practicing programming. Also to produce a webpage which does the same IP Subnetting tasks online. **_Objectives_** **1**. This project work will contain basics of IP addressing in form of text. Which will be pure research work and studied information produced in own language. **2.**One of the product of this project work will be the standalone application for IP subnetting, which will be produce by programming in VB 6.0. **3.**The final output of this standalone application will enable Network designer to get following details when any IP address is provided: * network class, * subnet mask, * subnet bits, * mask bits, * maximum required IP subnets * Maximum required hosts per subnet. * IP address in hexadecimal and binary format. **4.** The other product will be a webpage which will do the same tasks online as does by standalone application. Moreover it will give some extra information like IP address of pc where that page is accessed and trace routing information of any IP address or domain name provided. **5.** This research work and project will be easy to learn IP addressing scheme and related fundamentals for basic computer literate. ## Deliverables **_Deliverables_** **1.**Textual form: * Basics of IP addressing and classification. * IP address conversion to Hexadecimal and binary. * Understanding IP subnetting manually. * Programming code for IP subnetting calculator. **2.**Product 1: A standalone application for IP subnetting. **3**. Product 2: A webpage which does IP subnetting tasks online and further give some relevant information needed by network engineers. **Please note that, I am looking for complete Report with Abstract, Aknowledgement, Bibilography, acronyms, Annextures, Front page, List of online links used, etc. with source code and sceen shots of all the applications. More over "How to use an Application?" - a kind of HELP content on textual form. Also your ideas are welcome. for example if you want to extend it giving some briefing on IPV6.** 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform Should work on Windows XP and all versions of Internet explorer.
