I require a VB.NET console application using Visual Studio 2005 that reads XML from a Web Service using the SOAP protocol. The third-party service? has? a published WDSL and? uses ws-security (I'll provide security details).?
The app will acccess and pass a parameter to the web service. The app will write the full XML to file, and will also loop through the XML reading? and writing some elements to the console (this is just to prove it works).
## Deliverables
The third-party? service provides sports? scores for the current day.
They have a set of documentation in a Wiki here: [[login to view URL]][1]. I'm only interested in one of? their? services - [[login to view URL]][2].? They provide a published WDSL and use ws-security.
One parameter can be provided - a timestamp. When the timestamp isn't passed to the service, all scores for the day are provided.? When the timestamp is provided, all scores since the? timestamp are sent.
The VB.NET console application will use a proxy class to execute the appropriate methods to read the XML. It will do the following:
1. Access the Web Service providing the authentication details (I'll provide a username and password
2. Read the XML and either write? the full? XML? document? to file or write elements to the console depending on settings in a config file:
? ? ? ? ? ? [USE_TIMESTAMP] - when this is set to TRUE, pass the most recent timestamp as a parameter to the web service. If FALSE, don't pass a timestamp.
? ? ? ? ? ? [SAVE_XML] - when this is set to TRUE, write the XML to a saved document. When FALSE, loop through the XML reading the elements.
For the purpose of this project, please store the most recent timestamp in a text file and use it when calling the service.
To show that the app is correctly reading the XML - loop through the XML and write the Away and Home team to the console.
