I am doing software installations and I need to track these installation attempts with a url request that is handled in the background. This file would prompt me for a tracking url to ping and then ask for an exe file. Once provided this application would package the exe and url ping request script into one final exe file. Example. 1. I have a file called [login to view URL] that I want to package. 2. I drag it over the icon for EXE Packager and it prompts me for a unique url to ping. 3. EXE Packager creates a [login to view URL] file with the dragged [login to view URL] file and a script to ping the provided url embedded. 4. User opens the file and without any dialog our unique url request is silently pinged so we may count the installation attempt. The embedded [login to view URL] file is executed normally.
