Actionscript to load data from XML Elements into Dynamic Text Boxes that fill rows of data in a Flash file. The number of XML Elements will vary per file, but the nodes for each element will remain the same.
The Flash file will need to display 8 rows, each row consisting of a Task, Description, Start Time, End Time, and Place. These text boxes will display the data from each Element in the XML file.
The tricky part is that the .swf will need to loop to display all of the elements in the XML file in the rows in the .swf. The XML file could contain 1 Element or up to 200 Elements. The .swf file is only able to display 8 elements at a time because it will only have 8 rows, but if there are 15 Elements in the XML file, the swf needs to display the first 8 Elements, then on the second loop display 7 elements and the last row would be blank; then once all the elements have been read in, the .swf would begin to show the first 8 elements again.
I have included a sample .FLA file that contains the rows that I am attempting to fill, as well as a few sample XML files that contain sample data.
The code that is currently in the .FLA file can be ignored or deleted. It was used to fill the rows with the sample data
