Wordpress Plugin Enhancement(repost)

I have an existing wordpress plugin, that needs a few enhancements. 1. It uses curl. I want to expand the functionality to allow the option of using phpcurl, and a few other solutions to make it work with as many web hosts as possible. 2. php 4 Compatiability. Parts of the plugin code uses syntax for php 5 only (e.g. default values in function parameters, etc). I want this code changed to be compatiable with version 4, again to make it compatiable with as many hosts as possible. 3. The plugin submits details of the current post to other websites. I want the plugin to have a test login button, that if pressed, will login to the remote website (to confirm the username/password entered is correct). 4. The plugin needs a directory to write files. When the user enters this, I want the code to be able to test that the directory is valid and it is working e.g. the code can write to it. 5. Some of the 5 websites it writes to, have categories. At the moment the categories are hard coded. Need to add the option to allow the user to specify which category to use on the remote website. Note: No additional functionality other than outlined above is required. 6. Fix minor error The plugin is meant to take the current post (immediately after the user clicks publish) and use that for posting to remove sites. There is a bug present where if the wordpress version installed has a sticky plugin (keeps a post at the top of the page always) than that post and not the current one is used. The bug fix would be to ensure that the current post is always used. 7. posting in edit mode Currently there is a bug where the plugin posts when in edit mode. It should only ever post for a new post. The code is easy to understand and not complex, and this is a straightforward and easy job for someone familar with wordpress plugins.
