This is for an immediate start. With 20 students taking their PhD vivas this summer, we seek 4 experienced experts in Research Methodology covering the Social Sciences (ie. predominantly experts in Mixed Methods or Qualitative approaches, preferably those with experience in the viva process. You must be able to nurture a student researcher to develop their confidence and skills in undertaking an oral defence of his PhD thesis. The key area of focus will be limited to research methodology. This is the area you will have to work on with a student. You must have the ability to read each students chapter on research methodology, and devise questions as well as a summary that will assist the student. Your role will be to assist each student assigned to you for approximately 12 hours per week for the next six weeks, in return you will be offered a very good return per hour.
