Our VB6 app is connecting to FTP server through [login to view URL] and is downloading a simple xml file from our FTP server.
Users that have upgraded to IE9 get to see an old XML file, even if the file has been deleted from our FTP server. In fact, the VB6 app is reading the local cache.
When we ask our users to select "IE - Options - General - Temporary Files - Refresh every time webpage is visited", the problem is fixed.
We have tried to modify our coding FTPGetFile to avoid reading cache memory, but that does not work.
We need your help for the following ;
- or, modify our FTPGetFile so that it does not read cache
- or, a VB6 class to delete a specific file from the cache, e.g. DeleteCacheFile([login to view URL])
thanks
