Re-do the online section of my site and do maintenance to the design of the site to make sure it works. Currently not working

My website was built using Wordpress. I am satisfied with about 50% of the site that I had built. The previous designer was not that great with Wordpress nor did he know what to do in the shop section. I want the shop section to function and look much better. I want to be able to swap out new items quickly. The items should be a graphics section, a section for my paintings, and eventually a section for t-shirts. As it stands, the current set up does not look great at all. This has to be visually stimulating like the rest of the site. Lets figure out which one works best. I just want to be able to navigate through it easily and I want the viewer to be able to navigate easily. IF YOU DONT HAVE MUCH EXPERIENCE WITH ONLINE STORES, PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS POST. Also, when selecting the item, you should be able to see multiple thumbnails of the item.
