Ive been workign with magento many times. and its good for huge business. Also woocomerce of wordpress is good too. In your question about the suppliers inventory changes. there is an inventory option in ecommerce platform like woocommerce and magento. so everytime item sold, it will automatically deduct to the inventory system.
