I have Windows 8. I want a special "copy to clipboard" utility that I can execute via a keyboard quick-key combination.
Here is what is unique about what I want:
Normally, a person highlights a selection in a file or webpage and hits Control-C to copy the selection to the Clipboard.
I want to add to this normal operation. In addition to the selection I want the path of the webpage, if the selection was from a browser, or the file, if the selection was from an open file.
The path should be separated from the contents of the selection by an empty line.
In addition, I would also like the utility to then paste this combination of selection + path into a new note in ResophNotes. (If you are unfamiliar with ResophNotes, then go to this website: [url removed, login to view])
NOTE: This isn't a Metro-style app. I will mostly use it in open files on the Desktop. But, if I were surfing the web using the Metro Internet Explorer, I would want it to work there as well.
I'm willing to adapt my expectation to various similar arrangements. Don't feel constrained by my specific recommendation. If there are other ways of accomplishing what I want, I would be open to that.
