This project requires the development of a file system driver to work on Windows 2000 and later operating systems.
The file system driver will serve these purposes:
1) Redirect writes to an alternate path
ex: When any application is writing to c:program filesmy [login to view URL], the file system driver will redirect this to c:example locationc_program filesmy [login to view URL]
2) Redirect reads to an alternate path
ex: When any application is reading from c:program filesmy [login to view URL], the file system driver will redirect this read to c:example locationc_program filesmy [login to view URL]
3) Hide folders at a very low level
ex: c:example location must not be visible
The file system driver will be of course configurable and work with different sets of redirections. It will support redirecting particular paths, and preserving other paths. It will support redirecting into existing paths or new paths.
The file system driver should work with all applications and services on a system.
