Buying my first home - a 1 bedroom new build flat (w/ typical small balcony) that is going to be literally an empty canvass. It has an open plan living room/kitchen. The flat has wooden floors (bedroom carpet) and recessed lights and pendant lights for bedroom and living room/kitchen. Will be looking for window blinds/curtains, wallpaper/paint, shelves, decorations, large furniture (e.g. couch/bed/dining room table, chairs) etc. Looking for smart design, functional. Open minded but initial ideas are industrial, urban, contemporary, modern feel. Something that has character but you would be happy to just chill out for a whole weekend without leaving the flat. I have part furnishings that I would like to incorporate into the design as much as possible.
