E-learning Development

CONTEXT: TheCyberInstitute is specialised in developing e-learning courses that are simple, effective and surprising. THE PROJECT: Development of 36 course modules approx. 25 screens each. This is an estimation. We have already developed a large amount of courses for this client, therefore we have a number of items that exist in the library and can be re-used, e.g. - overall design and look/ style - interface elements (e.g. buttons) - functionality templates for flash interactions - standard animations - two 3D rendered and rigged avatars WHAT WE NEED. We are looking for a Web design company/ studio that has a number of talents on hand who are able to do the following tasks at a professional and high quality standard: 1. STORYBOARDING: You must be able to take client provided content, read it, understand it and then using creative thinking, generate a storyboard that details what text/content will appear and come up with ideas for images and animations that will be used to solidify the content being presented in the text. You must have a flair for conceptual thinking and have a strong command of written English. Drawing skills are also required but not to a high level. Most importantly, you need to create a flow that communicates the learning’s without subjecting the clients to e-reading, but that communicates and explains the concepts mostly through visual (cartoons and animations) and audio (avatar) tools. You will be working with our internal team to deliver the final product. 2. ASSET DEVELOPMENT (Artists/ Illustrators/ Animators): Take a brief for animations and or static illustrations and create the assets within the creative parameters already set. You will create new additional to work already completed. You must be able to match the style and quality of the assets already in place, as well as having the ability to do a small amount of photo editing to make client provided images fit into layouts. The ability to synch your animations to audio is also required. We will provide all audio. Artists with skill in animating/rigging/rendering in 3D are also required. Artists should also demonstrate good layout and graphic design qualities. 3. COURSE BUILD (Flash Developers) Using the existing code base, the course builders will assemble the courses using the storyboard and art assets (existing and new) and connect the interaction templates together. Interaction templates will be provided. WHAT YOU NEED. You need to provide us with samples of your work and an overview of the team you have available as well as a breakdown of their skill sets. Once you have impressed us with your submission, we will send you a simple art test: This will include - sample client content - sample art assets ( to give you a benchmark of the quality) You will then be required to provide us with a storyboard for the sample content provided and some arts assets asked for by that storyboard. Once we are happy with your quality of work and have agreed on a budget, we will brief you in more detail on the current project. You will be required to Sign a none-disclosure contract that will prohibit you from contacting our clients directly. All IP created will be the property of TCI. All source files will reside on our version control servers. Being a very busy studio, we are looking to build ongoing work relationships as we see a continuous requirement for additional resources.
