Improve my mobile web design

I want to do a pretty major overhaul of my mobile experience ([login to view URL]). I want to start with the recipe detail pages, header, and footer ([login to view URL]). These recipe detail pages are generating almost all our traffic. We are posting our recipes on social media to drive hits to our website. Roughly 75% of our traffic is coming from a mobile phone and going to these recipe pages. Here are some issues I’m seeing with the current design (the site is responsive, so you can see what the current mobile view looks like): 1. Our bounce rate is really, really bad. The mobile recipe pages are not doing a good job promoting any clicks or promoting people to stay on the website for longer than 20 seconds. People are coming just to see the recipe and then leaving. It is not enticing any engagement with the customer. 2. High traffic is not converting into sales. We have been sending 500-1k visits to these recipe pages per day and the result is probably 1 sale for every 2k clicks. That’s a 0.05% conversion rate. It’s really bad. 3. It’s pretty ugly. We spent too much time focused on the desktop user experience, but 75%+ is actually coming from mobile. I did a rough mockup of how I think this experience can improve things. I am not a designer. The attached file is meant to only be rough guidance to give you some direction of my thoughts. I am looking to you for creative designs to make this be excellent. I can provide current illustrator or psd files of the current designs. The website is built in Magento - but I can find someone else to build these pages. The end deliverable is an illustrator and a psd file from you. I expect you to come up with a few different draft options, to receive my feedback on those options, and then to come up with the 2nd round draft. I would assume the 2nd round draft will only require minor changes to then become finalized. I would like this to be completed in 1 week from when we start. Thanks! -Matt
