Write an iPad application

This is a simple ipad/iphone app for a therapist - intended primarily for use with the Apple Pencil on the iPad Pro, it should also work on an iphone as well, to allow easy access to the data. It is to allow the doctor to open a PDF form from a template, and then to fill out the form (not filling out embedded fields, but to simply write over the form with the Pencil). The form is stored for that patient and it can be saved, printed or emailed. It has a main page with a list of patients and a detail view of a patient (and a way to enter in a new patient). The detail view for a patient tracks name, phone, email, and maintains a list of forms that were created for that patient. (screen 1) The doctor can choose a new PDF form from a pulldown list, and this is opened in a new screen (screen 3). The doctor can then use the Apple Pencil to write over the form. This is NOT the adobe acrobat "fill out the PDF form" kind of thing, and it's not adding text fields to the PDF form - it's more of a graphic overlay on top of the PDF form. When saved, the form is saved as a PDF with two layers - the original PDF and the new one created by the user. The doctor can also email or print the form from here. There's a "Forms" screen (screen 2) where new PDF forms can be uploaded and managed. Each form would have a name, and an associated PDF form used as a template as explained above. New forms should be able to be added via an action sheet - the doctor could email themself the PDF, and then, from the mail app, add it to the library of forms in this app. Filled out forms cannot be modified once saved. They cannot be deleted. Storage: the storage needs to support syncing with some sort of cloud storage (icloud or dropbox). The cloud directory would contain a folder for each patient, named perhaps with the patient name and perhaps a uuid to prevent conflict. In the directory would be all the filled out PDF forms, and a json file with the patient's info (name, email, etc). These should be stored in an encrypted or password-protected format. They could be simply in a password protected zip file, or in some other format (let's discuss). They cannot be stored on cloud storage unencrypted. Would prefer dropbox to using icloud storage for ease of access of the data to other apps (such as on a Mac or PC), but would consider icloud drive storage if it's adequate. PDF Library: opensource PDF library preferred, but will consider a commercial PDF library if there are good reasons. Quotes should take this potential additional cost into account. Size Classes - should use ios size classes to allow the app to co-exist onscreen with other apps in a split screen situation. This version 1.0 product will likely be something that will undergo some future revisions. Future features might include 1. Adding an option to scan in a new form from a Fujitsu ScanSnap wireless scanner to use it as a template, or to scan in multi-page documents for storage with the other patient PDF forms 2. Storage of basic medication information for a patient - allow the therapist to list medications and review them for a given patient 3. Address book integration 4. Calendar integration (present a list of patients by appointment time rather than by name, for example).
