When you say you need to move data from S3, are you speaking strictly of the data (S3), or are there other parts of AWS that need to be replicated (EC2, RDB). Are you open to the use of Chef or Puppet to maintain your server? If you're not sure about any of that, I'm happy to help you clarify the scope of the project.
